Do you ever wonder where the good clean fun and fellowship is? Well, Nettle Lake has a lot to offer. If you play or enjoy listening to acoustic instruments like harmonicas, guitars, dulcimers, bass, mandolins, fiddles, and banjos then Nettle Lake is the place to be. The first Saturday of each month beginning at 6pm, both new and old players gather for an evening of music. This past Saturday the Nettle Lake United Brethren in Christ Church had a nice crowd. Lots of Christmas songs were played as well as gospel songs and some Merl e Haggard and Johnny Cash. The musicians present were from near and far, and varied from the young to the young at heart. Needless to say, there was a lot of talent.
You can join the fun next month on January 4th at 6pm at the Nettle Lake United Brethren in Christ Church, located at 18560 County Road 5-75 Montpelier, OH. Snacks and drinks are provided, and a great night is sure to be had by anyone attending. You can find them on Facebook at “Nettle Lake Music Jam”. For more information you can contact the Pastor, Mike Wilder at 419-485-4112 or email him at dwilder@metalink.net. You can also sign up to get reminders from Marilyn Mullins by emailing her at marilynmullins@hotmail.com.
