On March 22, 2020, at approximately 1543 hrs., the Defiance County E-911 Center received a call of an UTV accident in a wooded area on the property at 26637 Co. Rd. 424.
Jewell Fire and Rescue along with Deputies located the accident site to be near the 9000 block of Adams Ridge Road.
Michael J. Keber, age 67, of 26637 Co. Road 424, was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Defiance County Coroner.
The victim along with a passenger had been riding trails in the woods when the side by side rolled over pinning the victim, the passenger was uninjured.
Assisting at the scene were Jewell Fire and Rescue, South Richland Fire and Rescue, Highland Fire, Mercy Life Flight, Defiance County Coroner Office, and the Ohio State Patrol.
