BRYAN: February 19, 2014 – The Fayette Lady Eagles opened the 2014 D-IV Sectionals in a way that must have been awkward. Their semifinal game draw pitted them against the Montpelier Lady Locomotives, coached by the man that just one year prior had led the Lady Eagles to BBC conference and Sectional championships, Tim Nicely.
The Lady Eagles did their homework in preparation for the game, put their emotions aside, and focused on the task of shutting down Hannah Blake and Baylee Hageman of Montpelier. The strategy worked to a tee, as the Lady Eagles came away with a decisive 43-19 win.

Fayette moves on to take on the Hilltop Lady Cadets for the Sectional title on February 22.
