PARTNERSHIP … Four County Career Center has recently joined in a partnership with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) in a “Bridge Program.” This program allows students who are on target for graduation and who have good attendance and grades the opportunity to work for an employer starting during the summer months and continuing that employment throughout the school year, and earn class credit towards graduation in the process. ODOT has graciously hired two Career Center students and begun this mentoring process. As part of their mentoring, the students have refurbished trucks, front end loaders, and dump truck body frames through sanding, dust work, patching, priming and painting to allow these trucks to continue to be used and saving ODOT funds from having to replace the equipment.
