Thanks to efforts by students, teachers and the surrounding community, Edon Northwest Local Schools has earned free educational equipment through Campbell Soup’s ongoing Labels for Education program. This year, nearly twenty-seven thousand labels from the Campbell family of brands were redeemed for three electric pencil sharpeners; math and geography DVDs; eight exercise balls; hand held magnifier; stopwatch; jumbo sixty-minute timer; PlayFoam; class-pack colored pencils, butterfly garden, two tandem boards and twenty-four foot parachute canopy ~ shown at its inaugural outing during Fourth Grade PE Class. Since 1973, America’s schools and organizations have earned more than $114 million in merchandise through Labels for Education for art, athletic and academic curriculums. To learn more about the program, feel free to contact Patti Curry, Program Coordinator at 419-272-3213 or visit www.labelsforeducation.com.
