Karen Sue Palmer, age 77 years, formerly of Archbold, passed away early Friday morning, June 18, 2021, at Autumn Court Nursing Home in Ottawa following a long period of mental illness.
She was born April 15, 1944, at Wauseon, the daughter of Ora and Carolyn (Ruffer) Palmer. Despite her difficulty with vision, she was a happy girl who enjoyed Broadway music, and had a large record collection.
Karen is survived by two brothers, Richard Palmer of Jackson Heights, NY and William (Jill) Palmer of Napoleon; a sister, Sally Pappas of West Bloomfield, MI; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A private graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 22nd, 2021 at the Archbold Cemetery with Pastor Jason Sharp officiating.
Short Funeral Home in Archbold has been entrusted with the arrangements. The family suggests that memorials be given to 1st Call of Help.
Karen thanks all who were compassionate and kind to her during her hard times. We also hope you will open your hearts to those with mental illness and be an instrument for change.
