Varsity

Swanton 3 Stryker 1

The Panthers won the opening set, but Swanton bounced back to take the next three to move to 7-0 on the season in a 25-27, 25-14, 25-14, 25-21 win. Maddie Smith topped Swanton with 14 kills, Maddie Smith served up 21 points and Sofie Taylor added 45 assists while serving 14 points (4 aces).

Sage Woolace led Stryker (3-5) with 19 digs, Haylee Fulk was 11/12 serving with four aces, and Kaitlyn Myers hada 14/19 hitting night with five kills.

North Central 3 Fremont (IN) 1

Madison Brown tallied 17 assists, six digs, and one ace to help the Eagles (5-0) cruise to a 25-14, 25-12, 25-14 victory. Kendal Bonney added 16 kills, two blocks, three aces, and six assists for North Central.

Archbold 3 Defiance 0

Archbold moved to 5-0 on the year with a 25-14, 25-14, 25-10 win at the Thunderdome over Defiance. Addi Ziegler piled up 26 assists for Archbold and Ella Bowman added seven kills.

Hilltop 3 Liberty Center 1

Jayma Bailey went 13/14 serving, 10 digs, and added 12 kills on 30/32 hitting as Hilltop knocked off Liberty Center 25-11, 26-24, 13-25, 25-15. Mia Hancock went 21/21 serving (13 points) and Kacy Connolly racked up 33 assists in the win.

Ayersville 3 Edgerton 1

Kayt Timbrook was 32/34 hitting with nine kills as Edgerton (2-3, 0-1 in GMC) dropped their league opener to Ayersville 18-25, 21-25, 25-22, 23-25. Sadie Walther totaled seven kills on 44/50 hitting while Taylor Smith was 93/95 setting with 16 assists.

Handyman

Toledo Central Catholic 3 Bryan 2

Gwen Spangler registered 29 digs and added four aces as Bryan (3-6) lost to Central Catholic 22-25, 25-12, 30-28, 22-25, 12-15. Crystal Fillman added 14 assists and Jordan Beck recorded 15 digs in the loss.

Northwood 3 Delta 2

Delta’s record dropped to 1-5 after a 18-25, 25-22, 25-18, 21-25, 11-15 loss to Northwood. No stats were reported.

Elida scored with 23:24 and then again with 3:12 left in the first half in a 3-1 win over the Golden Bears. Tyler Wolff registered the lone Bryan goal with 9:58 left in the match on an assist by Aiden Andrews.

Evergreen 5 Otsego 0

Alex Peete opened the scoring just nine minutes in to match on an assist by Tyson Woodring to lead Evergreen past Otsego. Woodring finished the night with three assists while adding a goal of his own later in the first half.

Delta 3 Toledo Bowsher 0

Titan Tire

Delta did all their scoring in the first half as they improved to 4-0 with their win over Toledo Bowsher. No stats were reported.

GIRLS SOCCER

Swanton 3 Genoa 0

Jayden Hendricks scored two second half goals as the Bulldogs pulled away to beat Genoa 3-0. Lexi Taylor got Swanton on the board with a first half goal to give Swanton a 1-0 halftime lead.

Delta 6 Toledo Christian 2

Ella Demaline scored two goals and added two assists for Delta in a 6-2 win over Toledo Christian. The Panther’s scoring was completed by Teagan Postlewait, Grace Munger, Sam Maurer, and Faith Berger with one goal each.

Montpelier 177 Stryker 200

Montpelier was led by Aidan Higbie’s 41 as they moved to 4-0 in the BBC with a win over Stryker at Suburban Golf Course. Jax Richmond posted a 42 for the Locos while Drake Sommer and Trent Thorp each had a 47.

Angela Soellner tallied the low score for Stryker with a 47 followed by Gavin LaBo (49), Michael Donovan (49), and Kennedy Morr (55).

Miller City 167 Antwerp 174 Hilltop 195

Jaime Chester paced the Cadets with a 44 in a non-league tri-match at Pond-A-River Golf Course. The Hilltop scoring was rounded out by Dylan Siebenaler (48), Ella Calvin (51), and Averie Johnston (52).

Anthony Wayne 152 Swanton 169

Maizin Rukieh was medalist for Swanton with a 40 as the Bulldogs fell to Anthony Wayne at Valleywood Golf Course. Lucas Bloom was next for Swanton with his round of 41, Garrett Swank recorded a 42, and the trio of Sam Betz, Ryan O’Shea, and Adam Lemon each had a 46.

Edgerton’s Esten Kennerk bested all golfers with a 38 in a GMC quad match at Auglaize Golf Course. Kaden Kennerk carded a 46 for the Bulldogs, Nate Swank had a 48, and Landon Perry shot a 54.
