GIRLS BASKETBALL

Evergreen 70 Fayette 15

FAYETTE – The Vikings tied the school record for 3’s in a game with 13 to help them roll past Fayette (0-16) in a non-league contest.

Bekah Bowser led the onslaught for Evergreen (11-5) by hitting nine three-pointers (a new school record for 3’s in a game) and finished with 36 points.

Macy Chamberlin knocked down two triples and joined Bowser in double figures with 10, all in the first quarter. Emma Leininger tallied four points for the Eagles.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Evergreen, 29-11


Wauseon 81 Stryker 48

WAUSEON – Marisa Seiler dropped a game-high 29 for Wauseon (13-3) as they defeated Stryker on Senior Night for the Indians. Kadence Carroll had 15 for Wauseon, Hayley Meyer added 14, and Autumn Pelok chipped in with 10.

Sage Woolace fronted the Stryker (9-8) attack with nine field goals and four free throws for 25 points.

Defiance 38 Swanton 22

DEFIANCE – Emily Wahl had 12 points to pace Defiance as they picked up their second win of the season. Katie Floyd led Swanton (8-8) with six points and Emma Crow added five.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Swanton, 40-28

Montpelier 60 Tinora 55

MONTPELIER – Trailing 39-36 after three quarters, Jada Uribes scored eight of her 13 points to lead the Locos as they rallied for a 60-55 win.

Ariel Page topped Montpelier (14-3) with 21 points, including a first quarter layup that gave her 1,000 career points while Chelsea McCord had 14.

BOYS BASKETBALL

Archbold 61 Stryker 34

ARCHBOLD – The Bluestreaks had 11 3-pointers and put four players in double figures to get the non-league win over Stryker (6-10) 61-34.

DJ Newman’s 15 points fronted Archbold (10-5) followed by 12 from Cade Brenner, Alex Roth had 11, and Tyler Hurst registered 10. Jacob Cadwell had four buckets, two from beyond the arc, to put up 10 points for the Panthers.

JUNIOR VARSITY: Archbold, 43-28

Delta 51 Jones Academy 17

DELTA – Delta (6-7) took control with a 24-4 second quarter to take 34-6 lead at the break in their win over Toledo Jones Leadership Academy. Josh Tresnan-Reighard topped the scoring column for the Panthers with 13 and Nolan Risner added 11.

Clay 40 Swanton 38


OREGON – Swanton (14-2) struggled offensively in the second half by scoring just 15 points as Clay (1-15) came back for their first win of the season 40-38.

Cole Mitchey had 11 points for the Bulldogs, who had an eight-game winning streak snapped with the loss.

MVCD 63 Hilltop 42

TOLEDO – Christian Majors drained five treys and led all scorers with 31 points in a MVCD (7-8) win over Hilltop (1-10). Ian Hoffman scored 16 points to lead the Cadets, who trailed 36-17 at halftime.
