Pioneer Village Council met on Monday, February 14. Council members that were present include Ben Fiser, Bill Turner, Traci Filson, Randy Cochran, Will Cable, and Trever West.
Mayor Edward Kidston called the meeting to order and council approved the agenda as amended, by removing Ordinance 01-2022.
Council approved all payment of bills, including the Hometown Hardware invoice for January 2022 of $673.33.
Next, Chief of Police Tim Livengood staying current with construction issues and addressing them as needed. Chief acknowledges the time constraints from the construction and encourages residents to enter town from the East and West.
Next, Assistant Fire Chief Rodger Swank received an Active 911 call page which allows the department to see which roads are closed to pre-plan routes in emergency responses.
Next up, Alan Fiser, Village Administrator, opened the discussion to set a date for Large Trash day. The council approved the dates of April 22 and April 23, 2022.
February 2022 has been designated career and technical education month by the association of career and technical education.
Mayor Kidston thanked all residents for their cooperation during this State Street project and encourage all residents to shop locally.
Next, council approved Resolution No. 101-2022. In it, the village accepts to take funds from the electric fund and put into the general fund, water fund and sanitary fund.
Next, council approved Resolution 102-2022 which authorizes Alan Fiser to apply for, accept and enter into agreement for construction of the Kexon Drive.
Before adjourning, council approved Resolution 103-2022 authorizing Fiser to execute a release of economic development administration property value agreement.
