(October 18th, 2014)-OTTAWA HILLS: Playing on the road in the post-season is one of the most difficult things a team can do. With so much on the line, and a larger then average crowd cheering on their demise, a traveling team finds itself under a special type of pressure.
This appeared to be the case when the Blackbirds of Pettisville took on Ottawa Hills on the Toledo team’s home field. The result of the match was a 3-0 loss for Pettisville.
The most surprising aspect of the defeat, however, is that the Blackbirds weren’t able to take a single shot at the Ottawa Hills goal. Perhaps Ottawa Hills is simply that solid a defensive team, but attempting zero shots at an opponents goal is rare for this Pettisville team.
