ARCHBOLD VILLAGE COUNCIL: Approval Given For Water & Wastewater Rate Increases In June

The Archbold Village Council held their meeting on Monday, February 21st at 5:30 p.m. The meeting was called to order with the Pledge of Allegiance following after.

Council first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting that took place on February 7th. Bills and payroll in the amount of $1,015,009.79 were also approved.

The following resolutions and ordinances were the approved by council. Resolution 2022-18 approving the temporary closure of SR66/N. Defiance Street for the 2022 event schedule and declaring an emergency.

Resolution 2022-19 authorizing the administrator to enter into a contract with Jones & Henry Engineers to complete a storm water infrastructure evaluation and declaring an emergency.

Resolution 2022-20 accepting the bid from Bryan Excavating LLC contract 1-2022 East Lutz Road improvements and declaring an emergency.

The First Reading of Ordinance 2022-21 providing for a water rate increase effective June 2022. The First Reading of Ordinance 2022-22 providing for a wastewater rate increase effective June 2022.

Council then heard a report regarding the finance committee meeting that took place on February 7th.

With no further items to attend to, council moved to adjourn for the evening. The next council meeting will take place on Monday, March 7th at 5:30 p.m.
