The Wauseon City Council held their meeting on Monday, February 21st at 5:00 p.m. The meeting was called to order followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and a moment of silence.
Council first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting before moving to matters of legislation with the following ordinances and resolutions being approved.
The First Reading of Ordinance 2022-2 providing for the issuance and sale of bonds in the maximum principal amount of $575,000 to pay for the costs of extending Seneca Drive by constructing, reconstructing, resurfacing, paving, grading, draining and making other improvements.
Additionally constructing and reconstructing, as necessary, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, concrete aprons, storm sewers, related drainage facilities and replacing or adding lighting and traffic signals.
The First Reading of Resolution 2022-2 authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with Dillin Control Systems for engineering services.
The Second Reading of amended Ordinance 2022-01 authorizing the Creation of the Seneca Drive Incentive District within the City of Wauseon.
The Ordinance also declares improvements to certain real properties within such incentive district to be a public purpose; describing the public infrastructure improvements to be made to benefit or serve the real property within such incentive district.
The Second Reading of Resolution 2022-01 authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with the Ohio State Attorney General for the collection of delinquent taxes.
A motion was then made to excuse Council member Harold Stickley from all meetings scheduled to occur between February 25th and March 9th.
The motion was approved followed by council moving to approve and pay the bills as presented. With no further business to attend to, council moved to adjourn at 5:17 p.m.
A special meeting was then held after the regular meeting at 5:31 p.m. Council first moved to enter into executive session which ended at 8:20 p.m.
After returning, council moved to offer the position of Clerk of Council to Korin Baumgartner. With no other items remaining to discuss, council moved to adjourn at 8:25 p.m.
