The Delta Village Council held their meeting on Monday, September 19th. The meeting began at 5:30 p.m. with the Pledge of Allegiance and a prayer.
Council first moved to approve the minutes from the previous meeting held on September 12th.
The village administrator then asked to have the agenda amended, per the law director, to add an executive session at the end of the meeting for personnel.
The village administrator’s report followed after. Resignations from the water plant were received, and ads were put out.
Interviews were conducted and one person will be starting the following day after the meeting.
The finance director then discussed the pool levy and how it would need to be worked on in 2024 to collect in 2025.
The topic of rescheduling the finance meeting was brought up with the date being moved to Wednesday the 28th at 5:00 p.m. The following legislative items were approved next.
The Third Reading of Ordinance 22-13 authorizing the village administrator to execute required documents to sell rights of a perpetual easement specifically for the operation of a communications tower on village owned land.
The First Reading of Ordinance 22-14 amending the boundaries of the community reinvestment area established in 1992 for the Village of Delta.
The First Reading of Resolution 22-11 authorizing the mayor and village administrator to sign the roadway dedication plat establishing Fox Drive with quiring real estate 1 and Fulton County Properties, LLC.
The First Reading for Resolution 22-12 authorizing the Village Administrator to execute and file a drainage improvement petition with the Fulton County Commissioners addressing surface water flooding at and around the intersection of Taylor Street and Eastwood Drive.
With no further business to attend to, the meeting moved to the executive session portion at 5:48 p.m.Following executive session, the meeting was adjourned.
