Jerry Fenner (1940 – 2023)

Jerry Fenner, age 82, of Bryan, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, June 20, 2023 at Community Health Professional Hospice Center near Defiance.

Jerry had worked as a machinist at several area companies including, Johns-Manville, Ohio Art Company, JBM Tool & Die and Challenge Cook.

He was a proud veteran having served in the US Army from 1959-1963.  Jerry was a member of New Hope Community Church.


He enjoyed fishing, woodworking. mowing his yard and giving his grandkids rides on his golf cart.

Jerry was born on November 10, 1940 in Boone, Iowa, the son of Roy and Jean (Hull) Fenner.

He graduated from Stanhope High School in Stanhope, Iowa. Jerry married Janet Mathes on January 22, 1966 in Farmer, Ohio and she survives.


Jerry is also survived by his daughter, Margo (Jeff) Grimes, of Afton, Oklahoma; sons, Tony Fenner, of Edgerton and Joshua Fenner, of Richland, Michigan; grandchildren, Jadi (Michael) Munson, of Grove, Oklahoma, Jennifer (Gary) Dillinger, of Afton, Oklahoma, Jacy Grimes, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Austin (Norma) Fenner, of Avilla, Indiana, Bella Fenner, of East Lansing, Michigan, Emma Fenner, of Riverside, California and Bre-Bre Fenner, of Richland, Michigan; great grandchildren, Memphis Munson, Jade and Waylon Dillinger, Boston and Alex Handy; siblings, Larry Fenner, of Davenport, Iowa, Joanne (Gerald) Bond, of Wadena, Iowa, Marlene (Keith) Nofzinger, of Rotonda West, Florida, Carole Nading, of Elgin, Iowa and Janice (Al) Knox, of Elgin, Iowa and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister-in-law, Judy Fenner and brother-in-law, Larry Nading.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 10:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at Krill Funeral Home, 860 West Mulberry Street, Bryan. A memorial service will be held immediately following with Pastor David Nicholls officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Bryan American Legion/VFW Combined Honor Detail and the US Army Honor Guard.

The family requests memorial donations to Community Health Professionals Home health and Hospice.
