Residents of West Unity came together for the village’s annual Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting Ceremony last weekend. The event was held on Saturday, December 2nd, and began at 5:30 p.m.

The day’s festivities began early with the Omnibus Club’s annual craft show at the Kissell Building.

After the craft show, the community gathered to enjoy cookies and hot chocolate before the start of the Christmas parade. A horse and cart led the parade, followed by the Hilltop Cadets Band.

After the parade, the community gathered at Friendship Park for the tree lighting ceremony. The Hilltop Cadets Chorale performed Christmas carols, followed by Jane Short, Citizen of the Year who proceeded to lead the lighting of the Christmas tree.
