Stryker Advances To Sectional Finals With A Five Inning Clubbing Of Fayette

(May 12th, 2015) – STRYKER: Miranda Maynard held the Fayette Lady Eagles to just three hits, and contributed a pair of singles and an RBI to her cause as the Stryker Lady Panthers landed a 15-0 five inning haymaker on the visiting Fayette girls in the opening round of D-IV Sectional play on May 12.

Maynard went the route for Stryker allowing a single apiece to Ceairia Keller, Presley Pennington and Kaitlin Brubaker. She fanned three and passed three on the way to the win.

Katie Yoder had 3 singles, 3 RBIs and 3 stolen bases for the Lady Panthers. Carly Smith plated 3 runs with a pair of singles, and Emily Cadwell had an RBI on a single and a double. Tricia Wolfrum had a pair of base hits and an RBI, while Sierra Walters and Emma Shindledecker each had an RBI base hit, and Kim Stuckey had a single.

Leah Bussing got the start for the Lady Eagles, and went 2 innings, allowing 4 runs, 3 earned on 5 hits and 2 walks, whiffing a pair. Brubaker finished, allowing 11 runs, 8 earned on 9 hits and 5 passes.
