EVERGREEN BOARD OF EDUCATION: Board Approves Purchase Of New Van

The Evergreen Board of Education held their meeting on Monday, July 15th. The meeting began at 6:00 p.m. The board moved to approve the following items listed on the agenda.

Approved minutes from meeting held on June 24th, June 2024 financial reports, list of donations as presented, and Certificate of the Total Amount of all sources available for expenditures and balances for the fiscal year ending June 30th, 2024.

Approved a list of personnel recommendations, an agreement with Baker’s Propane to purchase propane for the period of August 1st, 2024, to July 31st, 2025, a list of bus stops as recommended by the Superintendent and Transportation Coordinator, and the price list for EHS athletic events for fall.

Lastly, approval was given for the purchase of a 2019 Girardin Chevy Express 9-passenger van from TESCO Transportation Equipment Sales Corporation (Oregon, OH), the purchase of an NSP custom wrestling mat from BSN sports, and a special meeting of the school board to be held on Monday, August 19th at 4:00 p.m. for the purpose of a campus tour.


Community recognition followed next, with the following businesses thanked for their support and donations to the FFA Officers Retreat. Anderzack-Pitzen Construction, Country Charm Café, Cris Johnson Trucking, Machacek Concrete, LLC, Metamora State Bank, Pro Ag Applications. Administrative reports were then given before the board moved to adjourn for the evening.

The next regular meeting will be held on August 19th at 6:00 p.m.
