(Member Of Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233)

Lynne R. Kline, 74, of Bryan, Ohio, passed away Monday, August 12, 2024, in her residence surrounded by her family.

Lynne was born January 4, 1950, in Adrian, Michigan, daughter of the late Elton E. and Maxine A. (Bussing) Smith. She was a 1968 graduate of Madison High School.

Lynne married Homer D. Kline on June 22, 2001, in Defiance, Ohio, and he survives. She worked as a cook at the former Community Hospitals and Wellness Centers – Bryan Hospital for over 15 years, retiring in 2009.

Lynne was a member of the Bryan Eagles Aerie #2233, where she enjoyed square dancing with Homer and visiting friends.

She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting and was an avid reader – she would often finish a book in a single week. Lynne had a sense of humor, and you could count on her harassing Homer and frequently telling him to “zip it”. Most important to Lynne were her grandkids, which she adored.

Surviving is her husband, Homer of Bryan; two sons, John “Allen” Cordts of Jackson, Michigan, and Christopher (Angela) Cordts of Sylvania, Ohio; two step-daughters, Jodi (Jody) Taylor of Pensacola, Florida, and Jamie (Rodney) Doubleday of Morristown, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandsons; and three siblings, Vicky Sager of Adrian, Michigan, Chris (David) Brasher of Morenci, Michigan, and Brad Smith.

To honor Lynne’s final wishes, no visitation or services will be held at this time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 206 North Lynn Street, Bryan, Ohio 43506.

Memorial contributions can be directed to the American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org), or to Elara Caring Hospice (www.elara.com).

Condolences may be sent to the family, or the online guest book may be signed at www.oberlinturnbull.com.
