The annual Archbold Christmas Parade occurred at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, November 29th. Despite the below-freezing temperatures and light snowfall, people lined the streets to enjoy the festivities.
A vehicle displaying the American flag led the parade, along with flags representing all branches of the U.S. military.
Following the flags was the Archbold High School Marching Band, which filled the air with cheerful Christmas music. Frosty made an appearance, and so did the Grinch on multiple occasions!
Even in the frigid cold, the parade had plenty of entries, and children were excitedly cheering and collecting as much candy as they could. The parade consistently impresses its audience every year.
What better way to end the parade than to have Santa shouting “Merry Christmas!” from the top of the Archbold Fire Station’s very own ladder truck.
Archbold hosts the Festival of Lights at Ruihley Park, allowing people to enjoy the light show before or after the parade, and continuing through New Year’s.
