JANUARY WINNER … Pictured at NorthSquare Center’s Zazarac’s is Kris Lowe (L) representing Bryan Development and David Swanson (R), owner.
PRESS RELEASE – To recognize local investment in buildings, landscaping, events, and other improvements, Bryan Development has created a monthly “Spotlight Award.” January’s recipient is NorthSquare Center located in the 100 block of West High Street.
Originally constructed in the early 1870’s, NorthSquare Center is an ongoing restoration project that will eventually included interconnected offices, living space and a fourteen room boutique hotel in addition to the two businesses that have already opened, Dos Eppi’s and Zazarac’s.
Ultimately, the third floor will house an event center that will allow attendees to gaze out over the historic downtown and Williams County Courthouse.
Dos Eppi’s is a casual restaurant that offers Puerto Rican dishes and made-to-order Mexican meals. Zazarac’s is a tapas restaurant with crafted cocktails, beer and wine offerings.
Both eateries are uniquely decorated in fashionable decor, giving a “big city” feel to Bryan. David Swanson, owner, has lovingly restored the circle and arched windows that set the front of the building off.
“The stunning renovation at NorthSquare Center revitalizes the north side of the square, creating beautiful spaces that significantly enhance our community’s future” says Russ Davies, Bryan Development’s president.
Bryan Development’s mission is to enrich the community by encouraging economic activity, preservation and community pride.
The BD presents the Spotlight Award to a resident, business, industry, or institution that has invested in new construction, preservation, restoration or beautification efforts, in Bryan.
Spotlight Award recipients are recognized by Bryan Development with a plaque and through social media and local news outlets. The community is encouraged to submit Spotlight Award Nominations at developbryan@gmail.com.
