A donation of $4,865.00 was made to Williams County police agencies and the Bryan Area Foundation in memory of retired Williams County Sheriff Kevin Beck, who passed away suddenly in August 2024.

Beck served the citizens of Williams County for many years, beginning his career as a K9 handler. He held various positions, including jailer, patrol officer, corporal, sergeant, chief deputy, and sheriff.

Beck’s family donated in his memory, divided among the Bryan Area Foundation for the Tara Arnold Memorial Scholarship, an annual county-wide scholarship, the “Park with the Police” initiative, and support for seven K9 units.

Kevin’s wife Brenda Beck and his son Travis were present to help distribute these donations. His son Bronson was unable to attend as he is currently serving in the United States Coast Guard.
