The May 13 Williams County Commissioners Meeting was held at 9:00 a.m. at the Stryker Senior Center. The commissioners welcomed the community with a “Coffee with the Commissioners” event, providing a more accessible, welcoming environment for the public to enjoy.
The meeting opened with standard procedures, including the approval of minutes from the May 8 session, Resolution 25-0215, and the current agenda presented, under Resolution 25-0216.
Commissioners then addressed regular financial operations, approving the payment of bills under Old Business through Resolution 25-0217.
A series of New Business items followed, beginning with Resolution 25-0218, which allocated appropriations across various county departments.
Resolutions 25-0219 and 25-0220 focused on contractual matters, including a Transactional Capabilities Application Project. The Commissioners also approved and decided to enter an LPA Project Agreement.
In addition to many resolutions, the Commissioners reviewed several notable items:
-A request from Bryan’s Downtown MVPO for fund release.
-A proclamation recognizing Older Americans Month and Older Ohioans Month.
-A property use permit for the DAV’s annual Memorial Day cookout, set for May 23.
-Authorization for 28 work permits allowing Charter Communications to work within county and township right-of-way projects.
An executive session was then held at 11:00 a.m., back at the commissioner’s office in Bryan, under the Ohio Revised Code 122.22 to discuss an employment matter. Following, the meeting was called for adjournment at noon.
The agenda also highlighted a busy schedule ahead, including additional “Coffee with Commissioners” sessions, next set for June 10 at Four Seasons in Holiday City, Department of Aging updates and site visits on May 27, and an observance of Memorial Day with county offices closed on May 26.
