SHERWOOD – Two Wayne Trace errors opened the door for three unearned Montpelier runs in the third inning and Locos staved off a Raider rally for a 3-2 win in the district semifinals.
Wesley Hartsock tossed a complete game one-hitter with eight strikeouts to get the win on the hill.
Montpelier will face Fairview in the district finals on July 5 at noon with the winner advancing to next week’s state tournament in Kalida.
