Archbold Finishes Runner-Up At Golden Bear Girls Wrestling Invite

BRYAN (December 7, 2025) – In a competitive 25-team field in the Golden Bear Girls Wrestling Invitational, the Archbold Bluestreaks finished as runner-up in the invite.


Tinora edged out Archbold, 188-186.5, to claim the team title, followed by Gibsonburg (140), Woodmore (103), and Delta (96), rounding out the top five teams.

Rounding out the team standings were Elmwood (82.5), Clay (82), Wauseon (75.5), Bellefontaine (67.5), Celina (63), Eastwood (60.5), Antwerp (57), Fairview (57), Wayne Trace (50), Bryan (47), Patrick Henry (34.5), Montpelier (34), Coldwater (29), Edgerton (29), Hicksville (29), Ada (24), Swanton (13), Arcadia (9), Evergreen (0) and Springfield (0).

Archbold claimed four individual championships with Jerica Sprague (115), Kate Brenneman (145), Vivienne Legato (155), and Gabby Oregon (235) all reaching the top of the podium.


Sprague pinned Azlyn Pagan of Tinora in her 115-pound finals match. Brenneman pinned Sadie Hausch of Archbold at 145 pounds. Legato pinned Amya Hallett of Wauseon at 155 pounds, and Oregon won by forfeit over Brook Tietje of Patrick Henry at 235 pounds.

Finishing runners-up were Aryanna Jacobs of Wauseon (100), Faith Yohnke of Delta (105), Kaelynn Hartsock of Wauseon (130), and Harlee Salazar of Montpelier (170).

Third-place finishers were Carys Jacobs of Archbold (100), Mackenzie Clapp of Delta (120), and Taeya Moyer of Archbold (145).

Placing fourth were Ruby Stickan of Edgerton (110), Lila Nichols of Archbold (130), Samantha Belknap of Montpelier (170), Rylie Chambers of Swanton (190), and Madyson Smith of Montpelier (235).
