EDGERTON – In an old-fashioned boys basketball shootout, Edon avenged its Route 49 Classic championship game loss to archrival Edgerton as the Bombers prevailed with a 77-71 victory.
Corbin Chrisman led Edon (10-6) with 25 points, 16 of those in the first half. Briggs Gallehue added 24 points and Kendol Brigle finished with 17 points.
Parker Elden led Edgerton (8-9) with 23 points. Mason Elden added 13 points while Maddox Baker and Kellen Sanchez both contributed 10 points.
Both teams combined for 52 free throw attempts in the game. Edon was 22 of 30 for 73 percent, and Edgerton was 13 of 22 for 59 percent.
