On the week of February 23 to 28, Delta FFA celebrated FFA Week! Each year, FFA chapters around the country celebrate National FFA Week. It’s a time to share what FFA is and the impact it has on members every day.

Each year our chapter plans a fun theme for each day. This year it’s USA Day, Farmers Day Off Pajama Day, Western Dress Day, Hiding in Camo, and Neon Day. We even do daily treats for our chapter members: ice cream Monday, pizza Wednesday, sweet treat Thursday, and doughnut Friday.

To celebrate with our whole school we open a coffee bar and a bake sale. We give out coffee and treats to our school, and all earnings are donated to the Children’s Hospital. This week is shaping up to be a great one!

On USA Monday, the school was full of red, white, and blue! Tons of students dressed up in our nation’s colors for the celebration and posed for photos.

For a secret fun event for our school, the Delta FFA officers hid little ducks around the school for a game. The ducks had F or A written on the bottom. If you find three ducks to spell FFA you get a prize!

We watched as students smiled and ran through the hallways looking for the hidden ducks. We hid them pretty well, but eventually the ducks were found by the sharp eyes of our students.

On Farmers Day Off Tuesday, most of the members stayed home and participated in virtual school. The juniors had to take their ACT so they had to attend school and do their best on the test.

I bet they did great! The chapter is full of smart kids that know how to piece a puzzle together. This day was full of naps in pajamas and juniors testing. The juniors were most likely testing in their pajamas as well.

On Western Wednesday, the future farmers came to school in their best boots, jeans, and button ups. Some even wore their nicest cowboy hats to school! It looked like it was a day to hop on the horses and ride into the sunset.

How amazing! For our treat on this day the FFA members were given pizza at lunch to munch on. It was an amazing day, we even did a short line dance in class. Kicking up boots and showing our skills!

On Camouflage Thursday, the school might as well have been invisible, because everyone was in camo. Everyone moved through the hallways like they were trailing through the woods during hunting season. It was fun to see kids in camo hoodies, shirts, pants, hats, and even boots.

For our treat, the FFA members got together making and bringing sweet treats to school to share with one another. It was a good day of students sharing snacks and being undetectable.

Neon Friday marked the end of FFA Week, with everyone decked out in bright colors that made us look like road signs. For the end of FFA Week, every member was given donuts to munch on.

Delicious! The coffee bar and bake sale ran dry of coffee and sold out of baked goods. It was an amazing week full of celebration of FFA and having a good time together.
