BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

Pettisville 52, Edon 42 – With the game tied 22-22 at the half, the two BBC teams battled through the third quarter. Pettisville’s defensive pressure enabled them to win the fourth quarter 19-11 to gain the tournament win. Gabe Beck and Justin Rupp finished in double figures with 15 and 10 points respectively. The Blue Bombers got aggressive play from Jim Peckham throughout the game as he finished as Edon’s leading scorer with 13 points. The Blackbirds advance to the sectional title game against Fayette.

Maumee Country Valley Day 61, Stryker 44 – The Panthers could not keep the pace in the third quarter falling 49-33 after trailing by only four at the half. Hayden Clingaman led Stryker with 14 points and Chad Ruffer added 13 in the season ending defeat.

Edgerton 46, Emmanual Christian 42 –  The Bulldogs used a 11-2 third quarter spirt as they moved on to a Sectional title game against Toledo Christian. Leading Edgerton were Dustin Miller with 13 and Mitchell Cercone along with Jake Siebenaler added 11 points apiece.
