Our Caps, Your Cause, is a campaign by Prairie Farms Dairy. Each dairy cap has a code that can be entered on the Prairie Farms Dairy website. Every cap code entered will raise $0.05 for a non-profit agency.
Hilaree Carlise, a NOCAC Pre-School parent, works for a local coffee house. She noticed that the milk they used, Prairie Farms, was advertising a fundraising initiative. She called NOCAC to see if she could raise money for something nice for the kids in the classroom. Her daughter Skielynn is currently enrolled in NOCAC’s Early Childhood Education at NOCAC’s Pulaski Head Start Center located on State Route 127 outside of Bryan.
Hilaree began collecting the caps and recruited her mother-in-law, Jada Carlisle, to enter in all the codes. Less than six months later the Carlisle’s collected and entered over 15,000 caps/codes. NOCAC Head Start has received $750 to purchase soccer shirts, nets, balls, and cones to promote the importance of physical fitness for children and families. The soccer items were purchased from Bill’s Locker room. Bill’s Locker Room also provided a donation toward the equipment.
