The Northwest Ohio Soil and Water Conservation Districts have teamed together with 4-H Camp Palmer to bring you the 2016 Woodland & Wildlife Family Festival to be held Saturday, May 21 from 10:00 until 2:00 at 4-H Camp Palmer located in Fayette, Ohio. Admission is free for this family fun event.
Northwest Ohio Woodland & Wildlife Family Festival is sponsored by a consortium of 9 Northwest Ohio – Soil and Water Conservation Districts including the counties of Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Van Wert, Williams, Paulding, and Wood in northwest Ohio.
The emphasis is on family fun and learning with hands-on experiences, vendors and educational opportunities available to attendees. Some of the learning opportunities include the Buzz on Bees, Black Swamp Raptors, Division of Forestry, Division of Wildlife, snakes, worm’s world, edible mushrooms, wildlife pelts, University of Kentucky’s Wood Magic, wagon rides, camp tours, and much more. In addition to the learning experiences, participants will be able to “zip line” for $1.00 per zip or try out their log rolling skills in the new Camp Palmer pool for $5.00.
