Farmers & Merchants State Bank & Sherwood State Bank Donate To 4-H Camp Palmer’s Pool Project

July 15, 2015 summer camp pictures 033 - WEBThe Camp Palmer staff and board are very thankful for a $5,000 donation from Farmers & Merchants State Bank & a $3000 donation from Sherwood State Bank (including donation from last year and pledge for next year) to our pool fund! The new pool opened on May 31, 2015. Currently due to these donations, sale of memorial bricks and timber sale the pool loan has been reduced to $89,000. 4-H Camp Palmer, Inc. serves youth from eleven counties in northwest Ohio and many groups from across the state, Michigan and Indiana. Thousands of area youth are enjoying this new pool facility, which replaced the original camp pool built in 1957. The grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony took place on Sunday, May 31, 2015.

Another pool fund raising event is planned at 4-H Camp Palmer: & 5K Walk/Run for Saturday, May 21 at 9:00am. Runners can sign by our web site or Davesraces.com. Following the 5K run the Woodland and Wildlife Family Festival will be held for the public from 10 am to 2:00 pm. Our pool will be opened for log rolling activity on this date weather pending.
