A Delta woman was sentenced on April 27, 2016, in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman. Ada Shaver, age 42, previously pled guilty to Possession of Heroin. On January 25, 2015, she possessed heroin. Judge James E. Barber sentenced Ms. Shaver to 2 years of community control and ordered her to pay a fine of $250, stay out of bars/taverns, not possess or consume alcohol or any illegal substances, abide by an 11:00 PM to 6:00 AM curfew, serve 45 days in CCNO, successfully complete Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio’s Medication Assisted Treatment Program at CCNO, and comply with all aftercare, and suspended her driver’s license for 6 months, with privileges for work, treatment, and probation appointments. Failure to comply could result in Ms. Shaver spending 11 months in prison.
A Wauseon woman pled guilty and was sentenced on April 27, 2016, in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court. Alexia Vielma, age 20, pled guilty to Aggravated Possession of Drugs. According to Fulton County Prosecutor Scott A. Haselman, on or about October 23, 2015, Ms. Vielma possessed oxycodone. Judge James E. Barber sentenced Ms. Vielma to one year of community control. He ordered Ms. Vielma to serve two days in CCNO, pay prosecution costs and counsel fees, pay a fine of $500, be assessed by a reputable drug/alcohol agency and comply with recommended treatment, successfully complete drug/alcohol counseling if recommended, and seek and maintain employment. Her driver’s license was suspended for six months, with occupational and treatment driving privileges. Failure to abide by these conditions could result in Ms. Vielma serving six months in prison.
A Delta man was sentenced on April 29, 2016 in the Fulton County Common Pleas Court according to county prosecutor Scott A. Haselman. Jonathan Gerard, Jr., age 35, pled no contest and was found guilty of Aggravated Assault. On October 17, 2015, he caused serious physical harm to another. Judge James E. Barber sentenced Mr. Gerard to 2 years of community control and ordered him to successfully complete the anger management course at Recovery Services of Northwest Ohio, obtain his GED, have no contact with the victim, stay out of bars/taverns, not possess or consume alcohol, seek and maintain employment, and serve 61 days in CCNO, with credit for time served. Failure to comply could result in Mr. Gerard spending 12 months in prison.
FULTON COUNTY SHERIFF
Sheriff Roy E. Miller announces that the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office conducted a Traffic Enforcement Blitz that ran April 16th and April 17 and April 23rd and April 24th, designated Prom Blitz. Deputies who worked this Blitz made 31 traffic stops and issued 8 citations. This Blitz ran in conjunction with the Pettisville High School and Fayette High School proms. The citations issued were all speed violations. Deputies also issued 24 warnings during the Blitz. The Traffic Enforcement Blitzes are paid for from a grant that the Sheriff’s Office received from the Ohio Department of Public Safety. Sheriff Miller and hid deputies are dedicated to protecting the citizens of Fulton County and the and the motorists who travel its highways. This grant allows for extra patrol to enforce traffic laws that will increase the safety of motorists on the roadway in areas that are prone to a higher number of serious and fatal crashes.
