Fulton County Board Recognizes Pettisville Students For Excellence

Several students from Pettisville were recognized for participating in the State Science Day through the Ohio Academy of Science.

The list of students included Junior Jacob Dennis; sophomores Gretchen Lee and Jordan Skates; freshmen Joshua Bock and Kayla Wyse and eighth-graders Kelly Miller, Dalton Myers and Anneli Shaw. Miller, Shaw and Wyse received “Excellent” ratings, while the others were noted as “Superior.”

The board noted how all the students honored in the county were from Pettisville.

In other news:
The county approved a contract for new software for EMS to be in compliance with an Ohio law requiring electronic upgrades for medical care services. The service will cost $730 per month.

The county received a quarterly update from the County Employee Benefits Consortium of Ohio. The service pays out claims of covered employees and dependents.

In the first quarter (January-March) $316,242 was paid out for medical and prescription claims. That’s down for the same period in 2015 ($266,775) and 2014 ($653,908).
