Mary Ann PottsMary Ann Potts, 80 years, of Bryan, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at her home with her family at her bedside.  Mary Ann was born June 9, 1936 in Toledo, Ohio the daughter of the late Wallace and May (Bell) Head.  She was a 1954 graduate of Kendallville High School and attended Purdue University for four years.  Mary Ann married William M. “Bill” Potts on June 2, 1957 in Kendallville, Indiana, and he preceded her in death on February 27, 2013.

Mary Ann worked as the Director of Human Resources at the Bryan Hospital, retiring in 2008, after 36 years of service.  Mary Ann was a member of the Taine Club, Daughters of the American Revolution and the Women of the Moose.  Mary Ann also volunteered at Community Hospitals and Wellness Center after her retirement.

Surviving are her two children, Diana (Kenny) Kartheiser of Port Clinton, Ohio and Mark (Lourdes) Potts of Fort Myers, Florida; two grandchildren, Karina (Mitchell) Barrera of Fort Myers, Florida and Dustin (Robyn) Johnson of Auburn, Indiana.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday, August 11, 2016 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home & Crematory-Greenisen Chapel, 225 East High Street, Bryan where Memorial Services will begin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening with Father Jim Halleron officiating.

The family has requested that memorial contributions be directed to Community Health Professionals Hospice, 127 Blakeslee Avenue, Bryan, Ohio or to Williams County Humane Society, 09464 County Road 13, Bryan, Ohio 43506.
