Daniel “Dan” Steven Holt, age 37, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away suddenly in a car accident, Monday afternoon, August 8, 2016. He was born on June 7, 1979 in Sylvania, Ohio to William Holt and Rebecca (Haas) Lumbrezer.
Dan was a 1997 graduate of Evergreen High School. He was employed by FedEx as a truck driver for the past 12 years and prior to that worked at Drysol in Lyons, Ohio. Dan loved golfing, bowling, fishing, camping, and just being in the outdoors. He was a member of the NRA and Izaak Walton League, Delta Chapter, where he loved to go target shooting.
Dan will be greatly missed by his dad, William (Laurie) Holt, Step-Father, James Lumbrezer; siblings, Amanda (David) Ybarra, Pete Lumbrezer, Sarah Lumbrezer, Matthew (Maresa) Kime, and Joshua (Kristine Stultz) Kime; nieces and nephews, Alexandria and David Ybarra II, Everett and Addie Kime, and Gage and Jak Stultz; grandparents, Nova Haas, Mildred Lumbrezer, Marie (Patrick) Conley, and Jack Pfleghaar.
Dan was preceded in death by his mother, Becky Lumbrezer, and grandparents, Bill Haas, WD Holt, Sally Pfleghaar, Joe and Jean Zalecki, and Gilbert Lumbrezer.
Family and friends may visit Friday, August 12th from 2 to 7 p.m. at the Weigel Funeral Home, 204 Chestnut St. in Swanton (419.826.2631), where funeral services will begin at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike O’Shea officiating. Interment will be at a later date at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the donor’s choice.
