Fulton County Commissioners Hear Dog Warden Report & Approve Dog License Fees

The Fulton Board of County Commissioners approved the following resolutions Aug. 11:
Accepted the Dog Warden Report for the week of July 31. Two dogs were brought in and 13 were picked up with seven redeemed and one sold.
The office collected $100 in redemption fees, $15 for the sale, $70 for boarding fees, $150 in euthanasia fees and $140 in licenses issued.
Eleven citations were issued. There were 10 dogs boarded at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 5. Two dogs were listed at DOA.
Approved the closing of the Jobs and Family Services office Oct. 7 for in-house training and to remove carpeting and install a tile floor.
Approved the draw request for two sites as part of the Wauseon Downtown Revitalization project. The first is Edgar-Grieser Funeral Home, 219 S. Fulton for $34,108 and the other is Crossgrove Builders, 112 N. Fulton for $12,310.
The Fulton Board of County Commissioners approved the following resolutions Aug. 9:
-Approved the use of the Detwiler Building parking lot for a poker run Sept. 17 to benefit the Wauseon Police and Fire Departments.
-Approved a net pay out of $14,161.85 to Thomas Construction and Remodeling for work on the Detwiler Manor restoration project.
-Awarded the bid for the Maple Street resurfacing project in Lyons to Geddis Paving and Excavating of Toledo for $42,505. A CDBG grant for $20,000 has been set aside to help fund the work. The village is responsible for all other costs and any change orders.
-Accepted the Economic Development Revolving Loan Fund semi-annual report. The fund has a balance of $225,300.
-Approved the following dog license fees for 2017: Single year, $20; Three-year, $60; Permanent, $200.
-It was a busy week for the Dog Warden. Six strays were picked up and all were redeemed, bringing in $80 in fees and $90 for boarding. The office also issued licenses for a total of $150.
