Jacob Brown’s 24 Points Not Enough As Stryker Gets Past Edon In BBC Play

STRYKER – Jacob Brown made a killing on the free throw line on February 8, but it was a quiet role player that made the difference on this night as the Edon Bombers invaded Stryker. Austin Robison, who usually comes off the bench to spell a starter and take a couple shots, was taking more than a couple. Getting the start, Robison began to rain down threes in the first period, and his 17 points helped stave off the defiant Bombers by a 53-51 score.

Brown canned five field goals in the first half, but only one in the second. Instead, he took his show to the line where he hit for a dozen in the second half. His Bomber Boys saw their halftime lead vanish for good after a Stryker 18-9 run in the third.

Parker Ruffer hit for 21 for Stryker, with Robison adding 17 and Dean Beamont 6. Hunter Clingaman had 5 points, Alic ‘A-Mart’ Martinez had 3 points, and Cole Heath added a free throw. Brown led all scorers with 24 for the Boys in Bomber Blue, while Brock Thiel had 9. Mike Peeples put in 8 points, River Wicker 6, and Reid Bowling and Clay Parrish each had a deuce.

SCORING BY QUARTER:
