Daughters of the American Revolution Meet

Subscriptions cover our costs to attend local events; bringing forth Hometown News Coverage to our communities.”]Williams County Agriculture Office in Bryan at 1:30 p.m. Nine members were present, and Rosanne Fisher, Laura Karl, and Gerry Landon were hostesses. The afternoon presentation was given by 4-H Program Assistant, Kim Herman. She discussed the benefits of 4-H, which stands for “Head, Heart, Health, and Hands”, for children beginning with the Cloverbud program for kindergarten (age 5) through 2nd graders. The core program is for ages 8 (and in the 3rd grade) through 18. Young people have the opportunity to develop public speaking skills, good decision making, setting and reaching goals, conflict resolution, and organization. They can choose individual projects including cooking, sewing, aerospace science, animals, creative arts, conservation, and self-determined. Enrollment must be completed by April 1.
