Governor Do Nguyen spoke to the Stryker Rotary Club at their regular meeting on October 11th. Governor Do Nguyen was in college at Bowling Green when his home country of South Viet Nam fell to North Viet Nam. Following graduation, he was unable to return home to his wife and daughter. Seven years went by before the family was reunited. He joined Rotary in 1995 as a member of the Maumee club finding himself with fellow Rotary members who thrived on opportunities to serve others. Do encourage the members of the Stryker club to consider attending a national convention because this is a great place to really find out what Rotary is about. Through the years he has been directly involved with a number of overseas service projects and has gotten great joy from the experiences. Do also said it is important to include the young in our work and is delighted to see more high schools and colleges providing the Rotary experience to the younger generations.
