Thursday, December 1 Scoring Summaries:
GIRLS VARSITY BASKETBALL
Stryker 46, Montpelier 11
Brittney Haines and Paige Speelman dropped in 10 points apiece as the Panthers scored the victory. Stryker held a 22-7 halftime lead with a stingy defense and behind the strength of two Speelman three-point buckets and one from Haines. Hailey Doerhmann joined the scoring column in the second half and finished as the game’s leading scorer with 13 points. Montpelier, struggled offensively with 23 turnovers, was led with Landri McKelvey’s four first-half points.
Pettisville 60, Fayette 18
The Blackbirds moved to 2-0 with the BBC win. Pettisville opened up a 16-3 first quarter lea and never looked back. The Blackbirds hit 56% of shots from the floor, while the Eagles made just four of 34 fro the floor. Morgan Leppelmeier connected for 22 points and Brandi Schnitkey also finished in double figures with 11. Janaya Hibbard led Fayette with 11 points.
Hilltop 44, Edon 43

Morenci 48, North Central 37
The Eagles went north of the border to take on Morenci. Despite a 19-point performance by Makayla Hayes, North Central fell short in the contest. 11 of Hayes’ points came from the foul line for the Eagles. Joining Hayes in the scoring column were Alyssa Swank and Sydney McKarnes with six points apiece and Allyson Fenicle, Kelsie Beres and Madyson Bonney contributing with two points each.

Montpelier 31, Stryker 29
Kimme Engels had 18 points to lead the Locomotives.
Fayette 23, Pettisville 19
The Blackbirds held a 15-5 halftime lead but Fayette dominated the second half 18-4 to gain the victory.

7th grade – Fairview 20, Montpelier 13
Aerial Page scored eight points to lead the Locomotives.
8th grade – Fairview 25, Montpelier 17
Jesse Bumb led the Locomotives with five points.
FRESHMEN BASKETBALL
Stryker 27, Montpelier 12

Fayette 32, Pettisville 19
The Eagles dominated the first half 20-9 as they cruised to their first win of the season over the Blackbirds. Tanner Lemley led Fayette with 12 points while Isaac Reynolds and Joel Flory had nine and eight points respectively for Pettisville.

Ayersville 33, Montpelier 28
Despite an 11 point fourth quarter from the Locomotives, Ayersville ended on top during the nonconference clash. Landri Mckelvey, Rebekah Carr and Jaelyn Lyons finished with six points apiece to lead Montpelier.
GIRLS JUNIOR VARSITY BASKETBALL
Ayersville 32, Montpelier 13
The Pilots dominated play from the tip off as Montpelier connected on one basket during the first half of play and trailed at the break 16-2. Kimberly Engels scored nine of Montpelier’s 13 points during the contest.
