Williams County Commissioners OK Purchases For IT Department

The Williams Board of County Commissioners convened Dec. 12 and Dec. 15 and passed the following resolutions.

524 – Approved a request by the Clerk of Courts for a maintenance/cleaning services contract for work at the Title Department.
The request is for one employee to work two hours every Tuesday and two hours every Friday. If there is a holiday during the week, only one day will be required.

The person will perform basic housekeeping duties.

The fee for the year is $5,000.

525 – Williams County signed a contract with Lucas County for coroner services.


The work will involve performing necessary autopsies and testifying at trials. The contract runs from Jan. 1 through Dec. 31, 2017.

Williams County will pay Lucas County $1,350 for each autopsy performed and any travel expenses required of the coroner.

526 and 527 – Placement of a juvenile at Necco Center for $269 per diem and another at the Ohio Teaching Family-Hartman Home for $250 per diem.

528 – Amended a contract with Ohio Teaching Family Association for child placement and related services. The fee was increased by $26,000 to a maximum of $132,800. The contract runs from July 1 to Dec. 31.

Resolutions approved Dec. 15


531 – The commissioners approved an increase in the amount of a contract with Kids Count Too, Title IV-E agencies and providers for child placement services. The contract stands at $66,950 (a $450 increase) and runs from July 1 to Dec. 31.

532 – Authorized IT Director Jeremy Suffel to spend up to $48,620.02 for server licenses for his department.

533 – Approved Change Order #1 for $6,982.37 for virtual infrastructure products. The change included $12,631.71 in new hardware and $5,649.31 in returned hardware. The new contract price is $207,755.34.
