SR 109 Project Agreement Closer To Reality In Delta

The Delta Village Council took another step to approve an agreement with ODOT for proposed improvements to SR 109.

Council authorized administrator Brad Peebles to enter into an agreement with Ohio Department of Transportation for proposed improvements to State Route 109 within the corporate limits of the village on its second reading.

In other news:
The council to voted to adopt an administrative policy addressing the enforcement of zoning compliance and property nuisance matters on its first reading.

Council voted to accept the electric aggregation bids presented by Palmer Energy and declaring an emergency. Administrator Brad Peebles explained the resolution and the situation concerning passing the resolution on an emergency.


Bob Gilbert requested a meeting with Fulton County Commissioners, York Township, Swan Creek Township, Fulton Township and Pike Township regarding several topics of interest.

The Property Committee will meet at 6:15 p.m. Feb. regarding village owned property not being used.

The council approved the use of Memorial Hall by the Delta Public Library from 9 a.m. to noon July 6 for Awards Day.


The council approved Fulton Union Christian Church to use Wildwood Shelter House from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 23.

The council approved Delta Youth Baseball to use Memorial Hall 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 25 and noon to 2 p.m. Feb. 26. 6-8 p.m. March 3 and 10 a.m. to noon, March 4, 2017 and 9 a.m. to noon.

Other issues reported on by the administrator included:
•Discussed York Township Fire Department year-end financial report that was submitted to the Village of Delta. Following questions from members of council, Finance Committee Chairperson, Lynn Frank offered to meet with York Township Fiscal officer to obtain more detailed information regarding the report.

The next regular council meeting will be 7 p.m. Feb. 6.


The Finance Committee will meet at 6 p.m. Feb. 6 regarding water and sewer minimum fee adjustment.

The Property Committee will meet at 6:15 p.m. Feb. 6 to discuss unused village property.

The Rules and Ordinance Committee will meet at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 6.
