Tuesday, February 28 Scoring Summaries

BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL

DIVISION III STATE TOURNAMENT

Stryker 50, North Central 36

The Panthers broke open a 22-5 first quarter lead and never looked back as they advanced to the sectional title game with the win over the Eagles. Colton Benson led Stryker (8-15) with 15 points while Kristian Grapengeter added 11 and Chase Clock finished with 10. Nick Henry and Jack Bailey each scored 10 points for North Central (5-18).


Fayette 41, Pettisville 34

In somewhat of a shocker, the Eagles (9-14) outlasted their BBC rival Pettisville (12-11) in a sectional semi-final game. Fayette scored 34 of their points in the second half as a team possessed to complete the upset win. Clayton Pheils led the Fayette attack with 13 points while Trey Keefer added 11. The Blackbirds were held in check offensively as no one broke into double figures. Gabe Beck led Pettisville with nine points.

DIVISION II STATE TOURNAMENT


Bryan 50, Celina 41

The Golden Bears advanced to a sectional final with the nine-point win. Evan Smith led Bryan with 15 points while Jaden Valderas contributed with 12 and Colt Arthur added 11.
