BOYS VARSITY BASKETBALL
DIVISION III STATE TOURNAMENT
Tinora 48, Montpelier 47
Despite the fact that the Locos outscored the Rams 32-13 in the second half, Tinora squeaked out the sectional semi-final game. Michael Blake led Montpelier with 20 points while Kolden Uribes added 14 as Montpelier finished the season 12-11.
Hilltop 61, Emmanuel Christian 39
The Cadets moved to 22-1 with the sectional semi-final victory. After scoring 30 points in the first half, Hilltop continued the pace with 31 in the second half for the win. Ryan Brooker led the Cadets with 19 points including nine from beyond the arc. Tim Maneval added 16 as Hilltop rolled into the sectional final.
Paulding 53, Delta 36
The Panthers ended a long season in the sectional semi-final game played at Wauseon. Delta finished their season at 1-21. Brandon Burkhart paced the Panthers with 15 points while Giorgio Festinoni added nine.
