STRYKER – The scary thing about Parker Ruffer is that he knows how to rebound and how to pitch…and he’s only getting better.

Not long after coming up on the losing end of a 2-0 no-hitter, Ruffer went back to work, shrugging whatever psychological effects off in the process. On April 22, his Panthers welcomed in the Hilltop Cadets for a BBC tilt that saw Ruffer setting down 13 on strikes as Stryker prevailed by a 7-2 score.

Chad Ruffer had 3 RBIs on 2 singles, and Tyler Teschke plated another run with a pair of base hits. Zach Birky and Parker Ruffer each had a single.

Justin Grapengeter went 4 2/3 wild innings for Hilltop, surrendering 6 runs, 5 earned on 6 hits and 10 walks, fanning 5. Logan Brooker closed out the game, allowing a run on 3 walks, striking out 3.
Justin Ashenfelter connected for a double, while Grapengeter, Josh Phillips and Nic Schieber each had a single.
