Wicker Fans 14 As Edon Blue Bombers Shut Out The North Central Eagles

EDON – River Wicker held the North Central Eagles to just two hits in six innings, while setting 14 down on strikes along with walking a pair to propel the Bombers past the Eagles 6-0 in BBC action. The hosts picked up two runs in the third inning, aided by three Eagle errors. The Bombers added four insurance runs in the bottom of the fifth to seal the victory.

Besides Wicker’s six inning effort, Connor Hug hurled the final frame for Edon surrendering one hit, while whiffing two and walking two.

Branden Turner lasted five innings for North Central allowing all six runs (four earned), on seven hits, fanned six, issued four free passes, and hit one batter. Ryan Bethel finished for the Eagles registering one strikeout and one base on balls.

Edon was led at the plate by Dakota Parrish who smacked and RBI double as well as singling, while Matt Cook drove home two more with a single. Wyatt Zulch also plated a runner with a single. Wicker and Brock Thiel each collected a base hit for Edon who improve to 2-1 in the BBC.

Dylan Hutchison, Alex Proper, and Josh Sawyer singled for the North Central hits. The Eagles fall to 5-6 overall and 2-1 in the league.
