Fifteen Indicted By Williams County Grand Jury

The Williams County Grand Jury con­vened on Tuesday, January 23 and re­turned indictments on 15 individuals fac­ing a total of 29 charges.

Those indicted include:

Madelyn M. Coressel, 22, of Bryan was indicted on aggravated possession of drugs, a fifth degree felony. The charge alleges that, on or about November 28, 2017, Coressel possessed or used meth­amphetamine.Gabriel V. Cordell, 42, of Bryan was indicted on two counts of aggravated pos­session of drugs, each a fifth degree fel­ony, and one count of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. The charges allege that, on or about November 29, 2017 and January 5, 2018, Cordell possessed or used methamphetamine as well as that Cordell failed to appear as required by the court after being released on his own recognizance in connection with a felony charge.

Rhonda L. Fischer, 47, of Montpelier was indicted for failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. The charge alleges that Fischer failed to appear as required by the court after being released on her own recognizance in connection with a felony charge.

Brandie D. Grandey, 39, of Bryan was indicted on one count of aggravated pos­session of drugs, a fifth degree felony, and one count of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. The charges allege that Grandey possessed or used methamphet­amine on or about December 7, 2017 as well as failed to appear as required by the court after being released on her own recognizance in connection with a felony charge.

Jill R. Griffin, 52, of Edgerton was in­dicted for tampering with evidence, a third degree felony. The charge alleges that, on or about December 12, 2107, Griffin insti­tuted, made, presented, or used a record, document, or thing knowing that it was false with purpose to mislead a public of­ficial engaged in an investigation or with the purpose to corrupt the outcome of an investigation.

Joshua D. Mason, 27, of Edgerton was indicted on two counts of aggravated pos­session of drugs and one count of posses­sion of cocaine, all fifth degree felonies. The charges allege that, on or about De­cember 23, 2017, Mason possessed or used methamphetamine, cocaine, and Psilocybin.

Jeremiah L. McAfee, 37, of West Unity was indicted for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other drug of abuse, a fourth degree felony. The charge alleges that, on or about December 27, 2017, McAfee operated a vehicle while under the influence and that McAfee has been convicted of or pleaded guilty to five or move equivalent offenses within the preceding twenty years.

Daniel D. McNeff, 57, of Fort Wayne was indicted on one count of forgery and one count of theft, each a fifth degree fel­ony. The charges allege that, on or about November 9, 2017, McNeff forged two checks, owned by H Machining of Bryan, in the amount of $6750.51.

Stone A. Meyer, 23, of Napoleon was indicted for vandalism, a fifth degree fel­ony. The charge alleges that, on or about December 14, 2017, Meyer caused harm to a glass door inside the Correction Cen­ter of Northwest Ohio.

John T. Morgan, 34, was indicted on a total of six counts including three counts of aggravated robbery, each a first degree felony; two counts of having weapons while under disability, each a third degree felony; and one count of theft of drugs, a third degree felony. Joshua R. Rutherford, 37, of Stryker was indicted for operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drug of abuse, a third degree felony, and one count of driving under suspension, a first degree misdemeanor. The charge alleges that, on or about December 20, 2017, Rutherford operated a vehicle while under the influ­ence as well as that Rutherford has been convicted or pleaded guilty to a previous felony violation and that Rutherford’s driver’s license was suspended under OVI conviction at the time of the offense.

Craig J. Scheuer, 30, of Montpelier was indicted for theft, a fifth degree felony. The charges allege that on or about August 1, 2016, Scheuer, stole $1231.10 from a pri­vate individual.

Jermell M. Toney of Toledo was in­dicted for harassment by inmate, a fifth degree felony. The charge alleges that, on or about November 25, 2017, Toney, being an inmate at the time of the offense, ha­rassed an officer of the Correction Center of Northwest Ohio by expelling saliva on the officer.

Allen S. Williams, 40, of Bryan was indicted for possession of cocaine, a fifth degree felony. The charge alleges that Wil­liams possessed or used cocaine on or about January 6, 2018.

Joshua E. Yates, 27, of Bryan was in­dicted on one count of aggravated posses­sion of drugs, a fifth degree felony and one count of failure to appear, a fourth degree felony. Charges stem from a November 2017 incident where Yates is alleged to have possessed methamphetamine and failure to appear on those charges in De­cember. It should be noted that an indictment is only an accusation and that all defen­dants listed are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
