A spirit of worship and unity filled the air Saturday evening, in Bryan, Ohio, as acclaimed contemporary Christian artist Matt Maher performed a free concert at the Fountain City Amphitheater.
The event was exclusively sponsored by Bard Manufacturing, drew an estimated crowd of 1,000 attendees for what many called a powerful and moving night of music and faith.
Maher, a nine-time Grammy nominee and Dove Award winning singer-songwriter, is known for hits like “Lord, I Need you,” “Because He Lives (Amen),” and “Alive and Breathing.”
His heartfelt lyrics and deeply personal performance have resonated with audiences across the globe – and Saturday night was no exception.
Concert goers were treated to an intimate set where Maher sang and played every song himself, rotating between multiple guitars and the piano with no backup singers.
The result was an evening that felt both grand and personal, inspiring worship and reflection beneath the open sky.
The evening began with food trucks opening at 5:00 p.m., including local favorites Wicked ‘Wiches and Pink Penguin Premium Ice Cream.
By 7:00 p.m., families, youth groups, and individuals had gathered in droves, lawn chairs and blankets in tow, to experience an incredible kick-off for summer.
Organizers described the concert as more than just a performance; it was a shared experience of faith, joy, and community. “Bring your friends, bring your faith,” the Fountain City Amphitheater had posted ahead of the show, and that call was clearly answered.
The weekend’s events not only celebrated local faith but also highlighted the strength and unity of the Bryan community.
With a blend of musical excellence and spiritual depth, Matt Maher’s visit left a lasting impact on the Amphitheater’s home base.
