Members of the Stryker Senior Center recently had a surprise visit from the fourth graders at Stryker Schools. The students stopped by to spend some quality time with seniors.
Due to numbers, students arrived in two groups, one following the other, giving the young and young-at-heart time to bond with one another over games of checkers, Connect 4, Battleship, and other classic board games that everyone could enjoy together.
A great time was had by all as stories and laughter were shared, memories were built, and bonds were formed.
After all, sometimes all that is really needed to bridge the generation gap is a checkerboard.
