Northwestern Ohio had a really cool opportunity to participate in a live nativity held by the Alvordton United Brethren.

Attendees were first greeted by smiling faces and candy bars, as well as kind words and directions for parking.

It was packed, so the one-way dual driveway system the church implemented greatly helped the event’s success, as people were waiting for parking spaces at some points.

Everyone was so excited to see a camel. sheep, goats, and donkeys alongside those spreading the Christian story of Christmas to attendees.

Did you know that all donkeys have crosses on their backs? Before being crucified, it is written that Jesus rode on an untamed donkey into Jerusalem, fulfilling an Old Testament prophecy as well as showing humility by not choosing a horse.

The love of Christ and Christmas was apparent to all those who visited, and everyone’s love for their animals sure didn’t hurt, either!

LIVE NATIVITY … Everyone loved to see the different participants in the nativity, including a camel, sheep, and donkeys.
