The Amboy Township Board of Trustees addressed a variety of items during its meeting on Memorial Day.
Board members approved a resolution to request a certificate of estimated property tax revenue for the fire levy from the Fulton County Auditor for the November ballot.
Board members approved the hiring of Dylan Stiner as a part-time basic EMT at a rate of $19 an hour.
Board members updated the credit card policy to include credit card and bank-to-bank transfer fees as necessary and allowed.
Following a question on the matter from a resident, board members agreed to reach out to regional planning to determine whether construction of a cell tower was in the works adjacent to his property.
Metamora-Amboy Fire Chief Jessica Geer reported two employees passed their EMT basic class, one passed a level two fire class and two passed a continuing education (CE) instructor class. She also reported she purchased an Ohio Fire Code book, and that both medic trucks are having mechanical issues.
Board members ended the regular portion of the meeting by going into executive session to discuss personnel discipline. No action was taken as a result of the session.
The next regular meeting of the Amboy Township Board of Trustees will be held at 8 p.m. on Monday, June 29, at Township Hall, 2650 County Road 5, Metamora.
